IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Philip G.W.
Swavely
October 19, 1965 – March 22, 2024
It is with heavy hearts we announce Phil Swavely has accepted his final duty station. He lost his battle with cancer March 22, 2024 with his father Larry, his sister Suzanne, his brother Michael and the wife in his heart Jamie by his side.
Phil was a wonderfully compassionate and caring person that would always lend a helping hand to his friends and family. He spent his life collecting friendships that would last a lifetime. He enriched our lives by sharing "Phil-isms" that made us laugh, his unfiltered views on numerous topics and unforgivingly calling out the stupid in the world as he saw fit. Yet even in his final days he put his pain aside in order to comfort those around him. His absence in our lives will be felt deeply.
Phil elected to forgo a funeral service and has requested a celebration of life and that his ashes be released at the top of the Beartooth Highway in Montana. Details of both events will be released at a later time.
Phil's love of the great outdoors has prompted us to request you do not send flowers or monetary gifts to the family. Instead, we ask those of you that are interested please use those funds to plant trees in Phil's memory through the Arbor Day Foundation (See link below).
