Penelope L. "Penny" Sorrentino, 81, of Allentown, died peacefully on Dec. 9, 2023 in her home. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Gerald Grantz and Dorothea (Hartzell) Sorrentino.  Penny graduated from Rider College, LCCC, and NCCC as a registered nurse.  She worked as an RN for Allentown Hospital 17th and Chew, Lehigh Valley Hospice, and retired in 2014 from Medicare Homecare Services.  She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic church, the Mercantile Club of Emmaus, and was a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.

Penny will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Scot Fenstermaker and wife Shirley of New Tripoli, Shawn A. Fenstermaker of Reading, and Todd Fenstermaker and wife Lori of Shoemakersville; daughter, Kelly wife of James Barrall, Jr. of Emmaus; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sister, Janice Grantz and partner Marilyn Musumeci of New Tripoli; many nieces and nephews; beloved dog, Ruby Jean. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Grantz.

Memorial services will be held on Fri., Dec. 15, 2023 at 4:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Visitation 3:00 to 4:00 PM in the funeral home.
