Peggy A. Rainford, of Macungie, PA passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025 at the age of 75 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of Bob Rainford for 55 years, devoted mother of Steve (Katrina) Rainford, Traci (Kurt) Koehler, and Ben (Kassie) Rainford, and cherished grandma of Kira (25), Klay (23), Sam (18), Bode (17), Kate (16), and Elin (14).

Peg was the daughter of the late Wayne and Eunice Scheuneman of Des Plaines, Illinois.  She is survived by her 2 sisters, Kathy Goins and Laurie Kurowski and their families.

Fulfilling a childhood dream, Peg earned her Registered Nursing (RN) degree from St. Francis School of Nursing in Evanston, Illinois, in 1970.  However, her most cherished role was being a stay-at-home- mom, lovingly raising her children during their formative years.  Afterward, she returned to nursing and enjoyed a 20-year career.

Peg most enjoyed being around her 6 grandchildren.  She was a "memory maker," creating lasting traditions around the Christmas holidays, organizing shopping trips, and planning family vacations to Disney World.  In retirement, she and Bob enjoyed their favorite pastime of cruising, taking 35 cruises to many parts of the world together.

A viewing will be held on Thurs., May 15, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.   Funeral services Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Trexlertown.
