Paul J. Phillips Paul J. Phillips, 66, of Whitehall, formerly of Emmaus, died March 26, 2008 in his residence. He was the husband of Sandra V. (Hillegass) Phillips. They celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in January 2008. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Lucy and Paul J. Phillips, Sr. He was employed at the former A&B Meats and Calo Pet Foods for 18 years. He also worked for Giant Foods, Coplay, retiring in 2004. He was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church, Allentown. He was a member of the Emmaus Fire Police for 3 years and the Whitehall Fire Police for 20 years. Survivors: Wife; Sons, Michael Phillips and wife Kim of Allentown and James Phillips of Florida; Stepsons, Richard Dilcher and wife Nancy of Emmaus and Brian Dilcher of Whitehall; Stepdaughter, Kathy wife of Austin Roth of Lehighton; Brothers, James Phillips and wife Debbie of Allentown and Martin Mercado, Jr. and wife Debbie of Allentown; Sisters, Betty Mae Miranda, Stella wife of Gary Cummings, Paulette Espananda, and Barbara Heckman all of Allentown; Granddaughter, Savannah of Allentown; Step Grandson, Adrion Dilcher of South Carolina. Services: Funeral Services Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus.
