Paul was known for his fierce love for his dogs, Jack, Toby, and Arctic, who were not just pets, but cherished members of his family.  His playful mischievous personality endeared him to all who knew him, making every interaction with him a memorable experience.

His dedication to his work at his own business, R&B Tree Service, was unmatched, and his commitment to excellence earned him respect and admiration within the community.  Beyond his professional life, Paul's true joy came from being outdoors, especially on the open waters, where he could be found fishing many miles out in the ocean on either a kayak, jet ski, or a boat.  Paul found peace and excitement in the vast expanse of nature.

What truly set Paul apart was his unwavering loyalty and willingness to go above and beyond for those close to him.  His generosity knew no bounds, and he touched countless lives with his kindness and will continue to do so as he chose to be an organ donor.

This obituary was written by a 13-year-old friend of the family:

Paul Herwig was born on August 25, 1967.  Paul grew up with his parents, Ernest and Betty Herwig and his two sisters, Pam and Karen.  Paul was known for being kind hearted, hardworking, and adventurous.  Paul is the owner of R&B Tree Services; he named the company after his two loving four-legged friends, Rocky and Bullwinkle.  Paul also had the pleasure to be a dad, Paul's daughter Payton Elizabeth Herwig.  Paul was a loving dad as he treated Payton like gold spending time with her and spoiling her throughout the years.

Paul could often be found on his boat or jet ski fishing.  Paul enjoyed fishing with his friends and meeting new people along the way.  Paul would fish in New Jersey and Delaware.  Paul made new friends through fishing, and often he would give pointers guiding people through their fishing journey.  Fishing is a way to connect to nature, feel at peace, and to make long lasting memories with friends and family.

Paul had a very private life, but the people he did open up to are wonderful people.  Chris Youngs, Paul's best friend, demonstrated what brotherly love should look like.  Paul also had a beautiful relationship with his girlfriend, Danielle Dieterly.  Paul treated Danielle like a princess with his unconditional love towards her.  Paul and Danielle have three four-legged companions, Artic, Jack, and Toby.  Both Paul and Danielle view them as members of their family and will never be seen as anything else.

Overall, Paul is many things such as dad, friend, lover, and hero.  Paul saved many lives when he was on Earth and he will continue to do so as he decided to donate his organs.  Paul is an amazing guy taken from us too soon, we will continue to remember and cherish him as he smiles down at us from heaven.  May Paul rest in peace.
