Paul D. Bertsch Paul D. Bertsch, 91, of Emmaus, died March 16, 2013 in Devon House, surrounded by his loving family. He was the widower of Lillian L. (Stevens) Bertsch. Born in Sigmunds, he was the son of the late William H. and Annie E. (Meitzler) Bertsch. He worked for Occidental Chemical, Pottstown, retiring in 1986. Previously he worked for Air Products and Chemicals. In retirement, he helped Mark "Dutch" Kistler Auctions. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus. He honorably served his country in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a charter member of the Claude Fisher VFW, Emmaus, where he served on the firing squad of the Emmaus Veterans Committee, was a life member of the Mercantile Club of Emmaus, Fire Company #1 and #2, member of the Emmaus Historical Society, Emmaus Optimist Club, and Pikeville Sportsman Association. Survivors: Daughter, Lori L. wife of Stephen J. Kuzma of Bethlehem; Grandsons, Steven Mack and Jason Mack and wife Chloe; Step Grandchildren, Stephen Kuzma, Jr. and Nicole Kuzma. Services: Funeral Services Thurs., March 21, 2013 at 10:30 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing Wednesday 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Thursday 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hill.
