Obituary

Patricia A. Smith, age 90, of Bethlehem, formerly of Macungie, passed away on April 8, 2023 at Country Meadows in Bethlehem. She was the loving wife of the late Francis X. Smith with whom they had shared 20 years of marriage.

Born in Myerstown, PA she was a daughter of the late Harry W. and Isabel M. (Jelley) Shepherd.

She proudly served in the U.S. Navy (Waves) as a radio operator division chief. After discharge from the Navy she took a job at Air Products. After 41 years of service at Air Products, she retired in 1997 as the savings plan administrator. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Emmaus, Macungie V.F.W. Post #9264 and Air Products Retirees. She was President of The Condo Association at the Fairways at Brookside in Macungie.

Pat enjoyed playing bridge with friends.

Patricia is survived by her nieces and nephews, Terri Gable (Frank Ehlers), Thomas Shepherd (Tricia), Edward Shepherd, Cynthia Shepherd (Barry Hoffman) and Linda Jenkins (Tom) and good friends, Bill and Lucinda Horn. She was predeceased by brother, William J. Shepherd and sister, Margaret S. Gable.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the St. Ann's Catholic church at the above address.
