Obituary

Norman M. Butz, 89, of Lower Macungie Township, died Nov. 20, 2012 at his residence. He was the widow of the late Marion E. (Lohrman) Butz "Dolly". Born in Macungie, he was the son of the late C.M.J. and Eva (Bittenbender) Butz. He proudly served his country in the Air Force during WWII. He worked at Mack Trucks prior to acquiring his own business, Butz's Atlantic Service Station, which he owned and operated for 30 years until retiring. He also owned several rental properties. After his retirement he and his wife traveled across the entire U.S. He was an avid race car enthusiast and car owner. He was a member of the VFW Post 9264 Macungie, Lehigh Lodge #326 F&AM, Rajah Shrine, Reading, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and Hillbillies Clan #9. A special thanks to our Angel's Gloria & Cliff Horn. Survivors: Daughters; Dolores A. wife of Anthony L. Dellanoce and Lois A. wife of Jeffery W. Althouse, Sr., both of Macungie; Grandchildren, Jeremy Norman Althouse, Anthony Jason Dellanoce, and Michael Christopher Dellanoce. Step Grandchildren, Nicole Dellanoce, Jeffrey Althouse Jr., and Carrie wife of Matt Young. He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Jacob, and Grandson, Bruce Dale Tapler, Jr. Services: Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home P.C. 250 Main St. Emmaus PA 18049. Friends may call 9:00 to 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Solomon's U.C.C. Cemetery with military honors. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C.., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
