Nicholas A. "Nic" Varec, 36, of Emmaus, died January 4, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of Dennis and Marion (Flammer) Varec.  Nic was a 2004 graduate of Emmaus High School.  He worked for Dirt Work Solutions.  He was a member of Fire Company #1, Emmaus, loved going to the gym and was an avid ice hockey player.  He loved life and had a great sense of humor, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his daughter.

Nic is survived by his parents, Dennis and Marion Varec; daughter, Izabella Varec; brother, Ryan Varec and wife Carol; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Varec.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 7:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Viewing 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home for his daughter's education fund.
