Obituary

Mildred E. "Millie" Lapp, 82, of Allentown, died Jan. 27, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Raymond S. Lapp.  Born in Dillingersville, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Gilbert) Debus.  Mildred worked as a merrow machine operator for Collegeville Flag Company for more than 30 years, retiring in 1988.  She was a member of Chestnut Hill Church U.C.C. and Eastern Star Calypso Chapter.  She enjoyed baking and was known for her apple pie and homemade crust.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Brenda L. wife of Michael Heck; grandson, Brian Budraitis and wife Laura; great grandsons, Dylan and Benjamin; brother, Kenneth Debus and wife Alice; sisters, Mae Schoup, Lorraine wife of Douglas Kahler, and Marjorie wife of Richard Trinkle.  She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Debus and sisters, Marian Hottle and Arlene Sweinhart.

A memorial service will be held on Wed., Feb. 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chestnut Hill Church U.C.C., 6870 Chestnut Hill Church Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036.
