Obituary

Mildred F. Dill, 99, of Lancaster, died Sept. 7, 2018 in Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.  She was the widow of Walter J. Dill.  Born in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Mary F. (Fischer) Brandt.  She honorably served her country in the Army Nurse Corps during WWII.  She worked as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital, Altoona.  She was a member of St. Phillip's the Apostle Catholic Church, Lancaster.

Mildred is survived by her Son, Walter J. Dill, Jr. of Pocono Summit; Daughter, Aileen M. wife of Thomas Pilarski of Allentown; Sisters, Charlotte Miller of Altoona and Ann wife of John Wolf of Altoona, Grandchildren, Kristen Pilarski of Roanoke, VA and Beth wife of Adam Gray of Roanoke, VA; Great Grandchildren, Landen, Berkley, and Finnegan Gray.  She was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Brandt and a sister, Marie Keown.

Funeral Services will be held on Tues., Sept. 11, 2018 at 10:30 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in St. Ann's Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th St., Emmaus.  Viewing 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home.  Interment will be private in Westminster Cemetery.
