Michael J. Taylor, 72, of Coopersburg, died May 22, 2016 in St. Luke's Hospice House. He was the husband of Donna S. (Petras) Taylor. Born in Philadelphia, growing up in Landsdown, he was the son of the late Myron and Helen (Hackenberg) Taylor. He graduated from Penn State with a Forestry Science degree and later an MBA from Temple University. Michael started his career at Gulf Oil, then continued with Air Products and Chemicals for 10 years, before owning and operating RTA Financial Services. His last position was chief controller for Community Council of Philadelphia. Mikes work motto was "One can go very fast alone, but can go farther as part of a team". He attended the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit where he worked in youth ministry for many years in confirmation preparation.

Survivors: Wife; Son, Christopher Taylor and wife Holly Zartman-Taylor of Columbus, OH; Daughter, Susanne wife of Michael Harner of Mt. Joy; Step-Daughter, Leona wife of Jeffrey Green of Germantown, MD; Brother, M. Richard Taylor and wife Judy of DE/FL; Sisters, Rebecca Sheridan wife of Harold "Hal" Lockwood of Amhust, MA and Jill Taylor wife of Merritt Bussiere of Brainerd, MN; Grandchildren, Morgan, Ethan, Hayden and Brady.

Services: Memorial Service Sat., June 4, 2016 at 4:00 PM in the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in the church. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
