Merritt K. Keller, 85, of Zionsville, died June 15, 2017 in his home. He was the husband of Barbara A (Laudenslager) Keller. Born in Zionsville, he was the son of the late Leon and Marion (Houseknecht) Keller. He was a 1949 graduate of Emmaus High School. He honorably served his country in the Marine Corp. right out of high school. He worked for Tasty Baking Company for many years, retiring in 1989. After retirement, he lived 6 months in Florida and 6 months in Zionsville. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and wood carving in retirement. Merritt was active with Boy Scout Troop #31, Old Zionsville for many years. He was a member of Old Zionsville U.C.C.

Survivors: Wife of 66 years, Barbara; Son, Barry J. Keller of Zionsville; Grandchildren, Chasity wife of Howard Seibert, Andrew Keller, and Jennifer Keller; Twin Great Grandsons, Hunter and Gabriel. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey L. Keller on Oct. 16, 2016.

Services: Joint Memorial Services for Merritt and his son Jeffrey Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
