Melody Beth Landis, 42, of Barto, died Feb. 26, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital.  She was the wife of Jesse Michael Landis.  Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Paul S. and Debra J. (Martin) Zimmerman.  After graduating Garden Spot High School, she served with Youth with a Mission and participated in several mission trips.  Melody was a loving wife and mother, home school teacher and worshipper of her Lord Jesus Christ.  She also partnered with her husband in the family businesses.  She was a member of New Beginnings Fellowship where she taught in the Children's Ministry and she was also an active member of Heritage Co-op with her children.  Melody loved singing, especially with her children, loved being active outdoors in God's creation, was a creative decorator and a good writer, and loved to travel.  She also relished family vacations, spending quality time with her family at home, loved the many gatherings with parents and siblings, and time with friends.

Melody is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Jesse; mother and father, Paul and Debra, mother and father-in-law, Elmer and Linda (Rohrer) Landis; children, Maren Landis (16), Misha Landis (15), Zion Landis (11), and Gideon Landis (10); siblings, Heidi wife of Daryl Myer of Union City, Ryan Zimmerman and wife Jennifer of Ephrata, Tina wife of Ryan Martin of New Holland and Joshua Zimmerman of Philadelphia; brothers-in-law, Eric Landis of Rockville, MD, Gregory Landistratis and wife Diana of Philadelphia, Peter Landis of Canary Islands, and Joseph Landis of Boston, MA; sisters-in-law, Christina wife of Curtis Saxton of Philadelphia, Deborah Landis of San Francisco, CA, and Rachel wife of Stephen Nowakowski of Millersville; maternal grandfather, Samuel M. Martin of Ephrata.

Funeral services will be held on Mon., March 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Petra Church, 565 Airport Rd., New Holland, PA.  Viewing Sun. 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Mon.10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.  Interment will follow in Petra Memorial Park, New Holland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus, PA 18049 to provide for the future care of Melody and Jesse's children who she loved so dearly.
