Maynard L. Dreas, 80, of Emmaus, passed away peacefully April 11, 2026 at “The Cottage” in Phoebe Richland. He was the husband of Barbara (Sandella) Dreas. Born in Vera Cruz, he was the son of the late Francis and Florence (Schoenly) Dreas. Maynard worked as a draftsman for Mack Trucks for 31 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the U.A.W local #677. He was a member of Old Zionsville U.C.C. Maynard was an avid golfer and an exceptional woodworker. Above all, he was known as a true “gentle man” who devoted his life unconditionally to his family.

Maynard is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; son, Jeffrey Dreas and wife Cheryl; daughter, Janelle wife of Stephen Swider; grandchildren, Daniel, Darren, and Tristan; step grandchildren, Alexis and Matthew; great grandchildren, Finn and Teddy; step great grandchildren, Callie and Caden. He was predeceased by his son, Todd Dreas and siblings, Francis Dreas, Garfield Dreas, Timothy Dreas, Carlton Dreas, and Gloria Swallow.

A celebration of Maynard’s life will be held on Tue., April 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus, PA 18049. Visitation 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, c/o the funeral home.
