Maxine H. Benedick, 75, of Kempton, died Dec. 16, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of Ronald W. Benedick, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late John and Elsie (Wilfinger) Yarema. Maxine worked as a nurse's aide for Lehigh Valley Hospice for 16 years. She was a member of Emmaus Moravian Church and a board member of the 1803 House.

Maxine was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her outdoor flower beds. Above all, she loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Maxine is survived by her husband, Ronald; sons, Jason Benedick, Jacob Benedick, and Joshua Benedick and wife Lacey Christman; daughter, Sarah Benedick wife of Greg Tumblin; grandchildren, Robbie, Dylan, Lilly, and Mason; brother, John Yarema and wife Susan.

She touched the lives of so many people. She will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.

A celebration of Maxine's life will be announced at a later date. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
