Matthew G. Schantz, 40, of Emmaus, died Aug. 19, 2021 in his home.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of Gordon K. and Linda P. (Petraitis) Schantz.  Matt was a 1999 graduate of Emmaus High School and was formerly employed by ATAS International, Inc.  He was a board member of Sights for Hope.  Matt loved the outdoors, hiking, his dog, Chumley, and golf.  He was an avid Eagles fan.  He had a special love for his nieces and nephew.

Matt is survived by his parents, Gordon and Linda Schantz of Emmaus; sisters, Christine wife of John Gaines of Emmaus and Renee wife of Steve Gould of Macungie; nieces, Elizabeth and Morgan Gould; nephew, Andrew Gaines.

Services will be held private at the convenience of the family.  Interment will be in Western Salisbury Cemetery.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
