Mary E. Wendell, 92, of Allentown, died Dec. 23, 2020 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  Born in Mount Carmel, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Hadoba) Snyder.  Mary was a guidance counselor for the Salisbury School District for 30 years, retiring in 1993. She was previously a teacher at Central Catholic High School and Basketball coach.  She was a PIAA official for High School and College Basketball, a member of PSAR Lehigh Valley Basketball Hall of Fame, Central Catholic Wall of Fame, and a member of NEA and PSEA.  She was a volunteer for Mercy School for Special Learning.  She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.

Mary was predeceased by a son, Kevin Michael Wendell and a brother, Joseph Snyder.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed., Dec. 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM in St. Ann's Catholic Church, 415 S. 6 ^th St., Emmaus.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
