Mary Jane "MJ" Welliver, age 72, of Whitehall, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 15, 2023 in her residence. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late R. Alexander and E. Jane (Bauer) Dickel.
She graduated from Olney High School in 1968, and earned her Associate's Degree from the Community College of Philadelphia in 1970. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for Plantique, Inc. until she retired. She also worked as an independent home consultant at Longaberger. Mary Jane was a creative woman who loved to work on crafts of many kinds. Her most recent craft hobbies included crocheting and making beautiful handmade fabric quilted Christmas ornaments. She also had a unique love for Legos and enjoyed building with her father prior to his passing and with her grandchildren. MJ attended Faith Church in Allentown, Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church in Allentown, and St. Matthews ECC in Emmaus.
Mary Jane is survived by her sons, Scott Welliver and his wife Michelle and Paul Welliver and his wife Lynn; grandchildren, Chase, Savannah, Hope, Leah and Brooke, brother, Alan Dickel and his wife Joni, her step sisters Merrie Coates and Marleen Heintz, and dear girlfriends who were like family.
A memorial service will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church, Wescosville located at 1208 Brookside Road, Allentown, PA 18106 on November 26th at 3:00 PM. As part of the celebration of Mary Jane's life, we encourage you to wear her favorite color–purple–to the service.
