Mary Ellen Stump, 75, of Macungie, passed away June 14, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Eugene P. “Stu” Stump, whom she married Dec. 14, 1968. Born in Kutztown, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Lillian (Hunsicker) Hamm. Mary began working for Royal Mfg. in Alburtis, worked for Samuel Adams in Fogelsville, and worked in food service at Giant in Trexlertown for the last 7 years. She was a member of the Lyons Fire company and enjoyed playing bingo, NASCAR racing, and going to yard sales.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Corinna Stump and fiancée Richard Schaffer and Tammy wife of Reggie Hovan; grandchildren, Brandon Stump, Melanie McKeever, Reggie, Tori and Hunter Hovan; great grandson, Silas Stump; sister, Sandra Dietrich wife of the late Richard Dietrich; sister-in-law, Debbie Hamm wife of the late Linwood "Freddy" Hamm; brother-in-law, Larry “Butch” Ruppert and wife Patricia; and nephews Rodney, Scott, Todd, Travis and Niece Tara; great niece, Nicole.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
