Mary Ann Hermann, 79, of Emmaus, died peacefully January 12, 2024 in her home.  She was the wife of Frederick Hermann.  Born in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Pauline (LaRose) Barnes.  Mary Ann was a 1962 graduate of Whitehall High School and a 1965 graduate of Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing.  She was a registered nurse working for Lehigh Valley Health Network for many years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, worked a lot, loved gardening, cooking, and was an excellent landscaper with a green thumb.

Mary Ann will be remembered by her husband of over 50 years, Frederick; daughters, Aimee wife of Bruce Kenson and Jill wife of Peter Italiano; grandchildren, Earl Kenson and Isabella Italiano.  She was predeceased by brothers, Charles Barnes and Thomas Barnes.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary Ann's memory may be made the American Cancer Society.
