Obituary

Mary Helen "Bunny" Ashcraft, 95, formerly of Emmaus and Lewisburg, WV, died Jan. 8, 2019 in Cedarbrook. She was the widow of John M. Ashcraft, Jr. Born in Lewisburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Conrad A. and Cleo (Hedrick) Skaggs. She attended Greenbrier College for Women and West Virginia University. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Emmaus, where she chaired the kitchen committee. She was a member of Greenbrier Historical Society, Emmaus Woman's Club, Emmaus New Comers Club, chaired the American Heart Association, and was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy.


Bunny is survived by her sons, John M. Ashcraft, III Esq. and wife Dorothy of Macungie and Robert D. Ashcraft and wife Cindy of Allentown; daughter, Helen J. wife of Clement Fenstermaker of Macungie; 9 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by 5 siblings.


Memorial Services will be held on Fri., Jan. 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. 2nd St., Emmaus, PA 18049. Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
