Martha Jean Wagner, of Allentown, died on July 28,2024.  She was the loving wife of the late Bruce C. Wagner for 62 years.  Born in Kintnersville, she was the daughter of John and Flora (Litzenberger) Shoemaker.  She graduated valedictorian from Emmaus High School and then Kutztown State Teachers College.  She taught in the East Penn School District for 28 years, including 22 years of Kindergarten at Lincoln Elementary School in Emmaus.  She was a charter member of the Emmaus Lioness Lions Club and was also a past president.  Jean was an avid golfer and had two holes in one.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown.

Jean is survived by her sons, James (Bobbi) Wagner of Bethlehem and Richard (Valerie) of Waconia, MN; daughter, Nancy (Patrick) O'Leary of Allentown; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sister Ann (Gerald) Seislove of Royersford.  She was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew.

Services will be private.
