Mark R. Ruth, Sr., 87, of Emmaus, died March 24, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice. He was the husband of Elsie E. (Schmaldinst) Ruth. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Clarence and Margaret (Miller) Ruth. Mark worked for Mack Trucks, Inc. for 33 years. He was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville. He was a life member of Citizens Fire Co. #2, Emmaus.

Survivors: Wife of 66 years, Elsie; Son, Mark R. Ruth, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Vera Cruz; Brother, John Ruth and wife Marie of Emmaus; Sister, Elsie Godusky of Emmaus; Grandchildren, Aaron and Nathan Reynolds and Abraham and Jordan Ruth; 3 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon D. Reynolds.

Services: Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Zions's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5901 Kings Highway South, Old Zionsville, PA 18068. Viewing Tuesday 7:00 to 8:30 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus and Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. Interment will follow in Zions Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.
