Obituary

Marion Evans Wallace Marion Evans Wallace of Lower Macungie Township died Thursday, September 27, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Dr. Thomas Weir Wallace. They were married August 29, 1959 in Wilkes-Barre. Born in Montgomerys Ferry on July 16, 1935, Marion was the daughter of the late Zelma M. (Acker) and Albert H. Evans. She graduated from Myers High School of Wilkes-Barre in 1953. Four years later, she graduated from West Chester State College. Marion taught elementary school in Upper Darby and Nether Providence School Districts of Delaware County, PA during the late 1950s and mid-1960s. She also taught Library Science at Pennridge School District for many years. Marion continued her education by achieving Masters Degrees in Library Science from Villanova University (1970) and Computer Science from Lehigh University (1985). Marion and Tom shared their love for the outdoors by engaging in family camping with their children at State Parks within PA. They enjoyed many years of retirement pleasure with family and friends at their seashore home on Topsail Beach, NC. They were also frequent worldwide travelers. She was a long-time member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Union Church. Marion was also a lifetime reader and believer in the writings of Emanuel Swedenborg. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was involved in the lives and activities of her ten grandchildren. Survivors: Husband; son, Dr. Thomas Evans Wallace and wife Barbara and their six children, Madelyn, Ian, Connor, Gwyneth, Jillian and Simon of Williamsport; daughters, Cynthia Catharine. wife of Glenn Bonney and their daughter Emily of Lower Macungie Township, Karen Zelma. wife of Michael Luma and their children Taryn, James and Lydia of Lower Macungie Township, sisters, Doris wife of David Closterman of Huntingdon Valley, Janice wife of Donald Krapf of Hunlock Creek; She was predeceased by a brother, William Evans. Services: Funeral Services Monday, October 1, 2007 at 10:30 AM in Jerusalem Western Salisbury Union Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday evening, September 30 in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus and from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Monday, October 1 in the church.
