Marilyn D. Vorhis, 89, of Emmaus, died peacefully in her sleep on March 3, 2021.  She was the wife of the late William B. Vorhis.  Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Carrie (Meitzler) Schueck.  She worked as a receptionist and hostess at the Mack Trucks Executive Dining Hall for more than 20 years.  She later worked in homecare for the elderly.  She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran church, Emmaus.  Marilyn was a member of the Emmaus Lioness Club, Emmaus Historical Society, was an avid golfer, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Gregory W. Vorhis and wife Linda of Center Valley; daughter, Dawn R. wife of James Wentz of Slatington; brothers, David Schueck of Kennett Square and Charles Schueck of Macungie; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
