Marilyn H. Slonaker, 89, formerly of Allentown, died April 27, 2024 in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem.  She was the wife of the late Isaiah "Ike" Slonaker, Jr.  Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Lottie M. (Hess) Baatz.  Marilyn was a 1952 graduate of the former Allentown High School.  She worked as a file clerk for the former First Union Bank for 10 years, retiring in 1996.  Previously she worked for General Electric for 17 years.  Marilyn was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, Allentown.  She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army, an animal lover, especially dogs, and loved to sing and play bingo.

Marilyn will be remembered by her daughters, Jane Ann wife of Richard Scrak, Jr. of Bethlehem and Cynthia Kern of Mertztown; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Sherri Wagner and a brother, Richard Baatz.

The family will host a memorial service on Mon., May 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown.  Interment will follow in Western Salisbury Cemetery.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
