Obituary

Marian E. Ross of Willow Valley Communities, formally Emmaus, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Jan uary 22, 2020 at Lancaster General Hospital . Married March 15, 1952, s he was the devoted wife of the late Harry P. Ross . Born in Abbottstown , she was the daughter of the late Robert P. Miller and Catherine (Frey) Miller Bartholomew. Marian was a graduate of Drexel Hill High School. She enjoyed being a hairdresser at La Mode Beauty Salon in Drexel Hill and Hess's Department Store in her early years. She was a n amazing mother and homemaker who loved her family with a passion. Marian was an avid supporter of her children's and grandchildren's activities through the years. She loved gardening and had quite the "green thumb . " Her smile lit up a room and her heart was always filled with such love, grace, and generosity towards others. Blessed with the gift of hospitality , many enjoyed her wonderful meals. Marian and Harry loved serving the Lord . They were active in local churches while residing in Emmaus. In retirement, they enjoyed missionary work with Cadence Int. in Germany and England where they faithfully served American Military and families in hospitality house s. In her later years, she was a dedicated member of Grace Community Church . Marian was involved in many activities at Willow Valley and was loved by all who met her. The family is so grateful for the friendships she treasured and loving care received at Lakes and Meadowridge over the past 22 years. She will be dearly missed by many who loved and cherished her. We rejoice in the hope of being united again in eternity. A woman of great faith, Marian was a beautiful Proverbs:31 woman. Well done, faithful servant.

Marian is survived by her s on, Michael D. Ross and wife Kelli of Annville ; d aughters, Barbara J. Schuler of Allentown and Diane R. wife o f Dr. Jeffrey Godwin of Greensburg ; 15 g randchildren and 10 g reat g randchildren ; sister, Annette Moore of Pottstown . Sh e was predeceased by daughters, Sandra M. Lopez and Susan R. Chassard.

A celebration of Marian's life will be held on Mon day , Jan. 27, 2020 with a visitation time with her family from 9:30 to 11:00 AM followed by a service at Grace Community Church of Willow Street, 212 Peach Bottom Rd . , Willow Street, PA 17584 . A brief Entombment service will be Tue sday , Jan. 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Rd., Allentown. S chantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
