Margot D. Sachs, 82, of Macungie, died August 15, 2021 in Lehigh Complete Care.  She was the wife of Richard W. Sachs.  Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Willard Slagel and Loretta (Vogel) Mowrer.  Margot attended Elizabethtown College and graduated from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked as a registered nurse for St. Joseph's Hospital, Hazleton and later was a homecare nurse for terminally ill patients, retiring in 1980.  Margot was a religious person and was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Hazleton and attended Lehigh Valley Baptist Church.

Margot is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard W. Sachs; daughters, Kristin Sachs Thompson, wife of William M. Thompson of Alexandria, VA, Susanna C. Newman, wife of Robert C. Newman, Jr. of Emmaus, PA, and son; Stephen J. Sachs and his partner, Nereida DeJesus of Bethlehem, PA, two granddaughters; Olivia K. Newman and Laura G. Newman of Emmaus, PA, and a brother, Glen Slagel.  She was predeceased by a brother, James Slagel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memories of Margot be kept in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
