Louis J. Wisser Louis J. Wisser, 83, of Emmaus, died June 30, 2011 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Ruth J. (DeLong) Wisser. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in October 2010. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Vincent and Elizabeth (Wisser) Ahlum. He was an electrician for Bethlehem Steel for 47 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Emmaus Moravian Church. He was a member of the Emmaus Lions Club, serving as Lion Tamer, life member of Citizens Fire Co. #1, Emmaus, member of the Emmaus VFW, the Mercantile Club of Emmaus, and Emmaus Lodge #792 F&AM. He honorably served his country in the Navy during WWII. Survivors: Wife; Sons, James L. Wisser and wife Beverly of Lynchburg, VA and Grady M. Wisser of Emmaus; Sister, Elizabeth Shields of Fountain Hill; Granddaughters, Faith and Janet. Services: Funeral Services Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Emmaus Moravian Church, Main St. and Keystone Ave., Emmaus. Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. Emmaus Lions Club service will be held prior to the service in the church parlor. Interment will follow in Emmaus Moravian Cemetery. Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
