Louis G. Miller Louis G. Lou Miller, 72, of Emmaus, died May 3, 2009 in his home. He was the husband of Theresa G. (Durback) Miller. They would have celebrated their 50th anniversary May 9, 2009. Born in Macungie, he was the son of the late Arthur C.B. and Jessie G. (Beidleman) Miller. He was a 1955 graduate of Emmaus High School. He worked for the former Emaus Telephone Company and retired from Contel in 1990 as the Superintendent of Customer Service East District after 30 years of service. In his retirement, he worked for the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc. from 1994 to 2008. He was a member of St. Anns Catholic Church where he was a member of the choir for 20 years. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Local Council #12886, member, past president and Melvin Jones Fellow recipient of the Emmaus Lion's Club, member of Fire Company #1, Emmaus, Macungie Fire Company, and the Mercantile Club of Emmaus. He honorably served his country in the Navy Seabees. Survivors: Wife; Sons, Christopher L. Miller of Allentown, Steven G. (Cyndi) Miller of Macungie and Matthew J. Miller of Allentown; Brother, Leonard R. (Linda) Miller of Topton; Sister, Lucille K. (Neil) Schwartz of Emmaus; Family Friend, Garylee Schaefer; Grandchildren, Eric, Kaitlyn, Nathan and Abigail. Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 8th at 11:00 am in St. Anns Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th Street, Emmaus. Viewing Thursday 6:30-8:30 PM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus with Lions Club Service at 6:30 PM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
