Obituary

Lloyd Shultz Geissinger, age 83, passed away on March 17, 2022. He was the son of the late Clarence G. Geissinger and the late Della S. Geissinger of Zionsville, Pennsylvania. In 1961, Lloyd received a bachelor's degree in education from Bluffton University where he majored in organ. In 1970, he received a master's degree in education from Indiana University. Lloyd taught music for 30 years in Lima, Ohio schools and served as a church organist at Grace United Methodist Church in Lima for 40 years. A man of many talents and interests, Lloyd was also a gifted clockmaker, oil painter, and harpsichord maker. He returned to Pennsylvania in 2007 to live at Fellowship Community in Whitehall.

Lloyd is survived by his sister, Jean Schneck, and her husband Paul; sister, Grace DeGeorge; sister-in-law, Marjorie Geissinger; nine nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews; beloved friends, the Hall family from Ohio; and many dear friends in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Lloyd was predeceased by his brother, Russel, and his brother-in-law, Frank DeGeorge.

He was a devoted member of Upper Milford Mennonite Church in Zionsville, Pennsylvania, where he performed music in his youth and later when he returned to the Lehigh Valley. Lloyd's creativity, humor, and musical talents were a gift to all who knew and loved him. "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Memorial service on Saturday, March 26 at 11 am at Upper Milford Mennonite Church, 6450 Kings Hwy S, Zionsville, PA . Calling hour starts at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Upper Milford Mennonite Church or Mennonite Central Committee.
