Linda L. Homola, 85, of Emmaus, passed away Sept. 6, 2026 in Cornerstone Living, New Tripoli. She was the wife of John J. Homola. Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Vernon E. and Ruth (Kisthardt) Maue. Linda worked as a police communications operator for the PA State Police, retiring after 31 years from the Bethlehem Barricks. She also served as the president of the AFSCME Union for 20 years. Later, she worked for Bon Ton for 6 years. She was an avid knitter and won several awards. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus.

Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, John; son, James O. Porter and wife Pamela; grandchildren, Dr. Ashley Porter and Matthew Porter; brother, Ronald Maue and wife Sharon; sister-in-law, Helene and Frank Degnan and Loretta and Richard Stickley.

Funeral services will be private. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
