LaVerne R. Ritter, Sr., 69, of Vera Cruz, died June 26, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the widower of Rachel A. (Hartman) Ritter and Ann L. (Schwartz) Ritter. Born in Vera Cruz, he was the son of the late Raymond and Katherine (Heft) Ritter. He worked for Reinhardt Awning Company, LLC for 40 years, retiring in 2014. He was a member of Upper Milford Field and Stream and Grundsow Lodge No. 13.

Survivors: Daughter, Lori wife of Michael Miller of Emmaus; Stepsons, David Kim and wife Susan of Lansdale and Donald Kim and wife Dahlia of Boca Raton, FL; Stepdaughter, Dr. Lisa Torp wife of Dr. Joseph Esposito of Lewisberry; Brother, Keith Ritter and wife Sherellyn of New Tripoli; Sisters, Mary Jane Ritter-Dise wife of Wilmer Dise of Slatington and Debra wife of Marvin Busher of Prosperity, SC; Grandchildren, Morgan, Cody, and Jonathan; Great Grandson, Dean. He was predeceased by a son, LaVerne R. Ritter, Jr., brothers, Raymond, Jr., Philip and William Ritter, and sister, Sylvia Zabower.

Services: Funeral Services Fri., July 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Western Salisbury Cemetery.
