Larry W. Smith Larry W. Smith, 60, of Allentown, formerly of Alexandria, Central, LA, died June 15, 2014 in his residence. He was the husband of Marlene Smith, with whom he celebrated 36 years of marriage. Born in Pineville, LA, he was the son of the late Essix and Mildred (Ashmore) Smith. He honorably served his country in the Army as a military combat engineer. Later he worked in retail for Walmart and Advanced Auto. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Slatington, where he served as a Trustee. Survivors: Wife; Daughters, Tabatha wife of Chris Redmond of Grovetown, GA, Christina Fritz of Allentown, and Melanie wife of Michael Gibisser of Bethlehem; Brothers, Jackie Smith of Dry Prong, LA and Wendell Smith of Baton Rouge, LA; Sisters, Shirley Walker of Colfax, LA, Darlene Odom of Pollock, LA, and Karla Valentine of Dry Prong, LA; Grandchildren, Ali Redmond, Andrew Gibisser, Arianna Walbert, Cole Gibisser, Roman Redmond, Corbin Fritz, Samantha Gibisser, Landon Fritz, and Lukas Fritz. Services: Funeral Services Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 11:45 AM in United Presbyterian Church, 6750 PA Route 873, Slatington, PA 18080.
