Kirby W. Traub, 76, of Macungie, died April 22, 2024 in his residence.  He was the husband of Constance L. (Shafer) Traub.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Dick W. and Ruth E. (Barrall) Traub.  Kirby was a 1970 graduate of Penn State.  He started his career with his family at Traub's Market, Inc. He later worked for Laneco and Newhart's Food.  In 1997 he became owner and operator of Traub's Doggies, Emmaus until retiring in 2014.  He was a member of Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, Allentown.  He enjoyed hunting and was a former member of Mount Allen Hunting Association.

Kirby will be remembered by his wife of 42 years, Connie; sons, Kristopher Traub and wife Heather and Keith Traub and partner Lora; daughters, Natalie Johnson and Katie Traub; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister, Robin K. Traub.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.   Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
