It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Michael O'Marah who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 41, surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving fiancé to Marlena Rettberg. Born on February 5, 1982, in Ogdensburg, NY, Kevin was the cherished son of William "Bill" and Mary Jane "Molly" (Pinkerton) O'Marah.
Kevin left an indelible impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a passion for life and a zest for adventure that was evident throughout his journey. Kevin was an exceptional technician, having dedicated his career to Air Products in Allentown.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Kevin found joy in various outdoor activities. He was an avid BBQ enthusiast and grilling on his smoker. In his youth, he played baseball with great skill. He was an excellent snowboarder. He shared his love for football and guitar, finding solace and joy in playing them. His adventurous spirit led him to engage in thrilling activities such as four-wheeling, skidooing, and tackling repairs on his beloved truck. Furthermore, Kevin took immense pride in his Irish heritage, honoring his roots with a deep sense of appreciation.
Kevin is survived by his mother and father Bill and Molly O'Marah; sisters, Danielle Cooke and her husband Christopher and Jennifer Wilfinger and her husband Rob; fiancée, Marlena Rettberg and her children, Scott and Madelyn; aunts and uncles, Margaret Halleron and her husband John, Daniel Pinkerton, John Pinkerton, and Michael O'Marah and his wife Martha; nieces and nephews, Ashley Cooke, Jessica Ryan and her husband Kyle, Kursten Cooke and Debbie O'Marah; many cousins and Kevin's beloved dogs, Occhi and Abby.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 6:30 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. Calling hours will be held prior from 5:00-6:30 PM.
