Kenneth F. Hartman, 66, of Alburtis, died peacefully on February 7, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Joanne P. (McIlmoyle) Hartman. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Herman and Florence (Nugent) Hartman.
Kenneth attended Father Judge High School in Philadelphia and later, Villanova University. The first half of his career Kenneth worked in various sales positions, earning National Sales Manager with Pac Tec electronics manufacturer, and later he worked for FIBA Technologies, East Greenville, a gas containment equipment provider, for 21 years. Kenneth loved the Lord Jesus Christ and enjoyed sharing his testimony. Kenneth enjoyed the ocean, music, collecting books, woodworking, doing crossword puzzles, making others laugh and spending time with the people he loved and cared for most. Kenneth was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and their 2018 Super Bowl victory was thought by friends and family members to be in Ken's honor. He witnessed this victorious event three days before his passing. Kenneth was a gregarious, kind and loving man and he will be deeply missed.
Survivors: He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, of 44 years, Daughter, Jennifer, wife of Kyle Moccia of Washington, D.C.; Son, Michael Hartman and wife Jingwen of Hazlet, NJ; Sisters, Holly Strzempek of Wayne, PA and Marlene Calzetta of Monterey, CA; Grandson, Miles and 2 others on the way. He was predeceased by two sisters, Donna Marie Solari, and Frances Kay Hartman.
Services: Memorial Services will be held on Sat., Feb. 17, 2018 at 10:30 AM in Faith Church, 6528 Hamilton Blvd, Allent own. Visitation 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the church. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, Ken would hope that you would do an unexpected act of kindness for a complete stranger in his honor. Also, contributions to USO (P.O. Box 96860 Washington, DC 20077) or to Faith Church ( 6528 Hamilton Blvd, Allent own 18106) would be greatly appreciated.
