Kenneth R. Earp, 100, of Allentown, died December 11, 2014, at Above and Beyond Personal Care Home in Allentown. He was the widower of May (Hummel) Earp. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Arthur and Minnie (Heffelfinger) Earp. He was a letter carrier for the USPS for 30 years and later worked in the mailroom at Muhlenberg College, retiring in 1986. He honorably served his country in the European Theater during WWII in the Army's 4th Infantry Division. He had served as deacon and elder at Dubbs Memorial UCC in Allentown and was a member of the MORA Club and the Allentown Flag Day Association, where he had served as treasurer. Survivors: Son David Earp and wife Louise of Allentown; son-in-law Larry Rutman of Allentown; grandchildren Brian Earp, Jonathan Rutman, and Jeffrey Rutman; and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Doris Rutman and great grandson Benjamin Earp. Services: Private at the convenience of the family. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
