Kathy McGrath, beloved wife of Mike McGrath, lost her battle with ALS on Saturday July 1st. Diagnosed in November, the disease progressed at a furious pace; instead of years, she got months. But she faced the onslaught of symptoms with remarkable courage and dignity, and died in the manner she chose: in her own home in her own bed in hospice care with her children Amanda and Max, husband Mike, and beloved sister Maryanne by her side. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Freda (Kenyeri) Kronberger. Kathryn worked for the Swain School.

Survivors: Husband, Mike McGrath; Son, Max McGrath and wife Aly of Philadelphia, Daughter, Amanda McGrath of Philadelphia, Brothers, Bill Kronberger and wife Karen, Bob Kronberger and wife Lynn, Mark Kronberger and wife Susan, Tom Kronberger and wife Becky, and sister Maryanne wife of Charles Rosner.

Services: Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 3:30 PM in Schantz Funeral Home 250 Main Street, Emmaus. Viewing 2:00 to 3:30 PM in the funeral home.
