Kathleen Marie (Shannon) Koehn, 75, of Emmaus, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2026, with her daughters by her side. She was the wife of the late Frederick Koehn. Born in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, Kathleen was the daughter of the late John R. and Marion (Pritchard) Shannon of Emmaus.

Kathleen was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1968. She continued her education at West Chester University and later earned her degree from Cedar Crest College. Throughout her career, she worked in public relations for various organizations and spent many years as an independent freelance writer, contributing articles to numerous publications. Most recently, at the age of 72, she authored an article published in The Morning Call.

Dedicated to service, Kathleen volunteered with several organizations, including the YWCA Allentown and The Perfect Fit for Working Women, as well as the United Way. She was a member of the American Association of University Women and devoted time to teaching reading and interview skills to formerly incarcerated women.

Kathleen had a deep passion for the arts, particularly music, film, and literature. She enjoyed participating in book clubs and film groups, traveling, and, most of all, spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Dana Davies of Emmaus and granddaughters Katie and Gwen Smull; her daughter Jennifer Stevenson of West Lawn, Pennsylvania, wife of Daniel Stevenson, and their children Zachary and Brad Stevenson, and great-granddaughter Skylar Stevenson; her brother James Shannon and wife Susan. She was preceded in death by her brother Daniel Shannon and her sister Rebecca Silvert.

A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 4:30 PM at Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus. Visitation will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 PM at the funeral home.
