Obituary

Karen L. Currier, 77, of Center Valley, passed away on March 22, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem Campus, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of Theodore B. Currier.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Marion (Jackson) Heller. Karen was a graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and later earned her bachelor’s degree in business from DeSales University.

Karen dedicated 30 years of her career to Bell of PA and later worked for Telerex for 10 years before retiring. She was an active member of the Windward Sailing Club.

She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan who found joy in reading, knitting, attending Broadway shows, and sailing the Chesapeake Bay with family and friends.

There are no words that can truly capture what Karen meant to all who knew her. She was our rock—the person everyone turned to, the one who always knew what to say, and the one who held family and friends together with strength and love.

Karen was warm, kind, and a constant light in our lives. She listened with an open heart, laughed often, and loved deeply. Strong-minded and incredibly intelligent, she spoke her truth with confidence, and her wisdom guided so many.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Theodore; her son, Jeremey Currier, and his wife, Judith Delarosa; her daughter, Chelsea Reed, and her husband, James; her grandchildren, Veronika Garguilo, Peyton-Marie Garguilo (wife of Jaden Weida), Cohen-Michael Garguilo, Zachary Reed, and Paige Reed; her brothers, Ed Heller, Mike Heller, and Keith Heller; and her sister, Tina Charles. She was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Charles.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH.
