Julius A. Fritz Julius A. Fritz, 87, of Emmaus, died Dec. 14, 2011. He was the widower of Catherine W. (Walls) Fritz. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Julius and Cecelia (Mirth) Fritz. Julius grew up on North 4th Street in Allentown and was a graduate William Allen High School and the University of Texas. He was a structural engineer for 50 years in the Lehigh Valley. Julius was a devoted husband and father. He was also a master cabinetmaker, a lifelong athlete, enjoying swimming, skiing, and sailing. He was a member of the Jaycees and the Lions Club. He served on the Planning Commission for Emmaus. He honorably served his country in the Army Infantry during WWII. Survivors: Children, Jeffrey Fritz, Richard Fritz, Elizabeth Fritz Zane, and Barbara Fritz; Sister, Lillian Fritz; Niece, Diane Fritz; 3 Grandchildren. Services: Memorial Gathering Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Spring Creek Apartment Clubhouse, 6690 Hauser Road, Macungie. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
