Obituary

Julia Fortunato, 100, of Coopersburg, died June 16, 2017 in Devon House with her family by her side. She was the widow of Robert Fortunato. Born in Manchester, England, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Maria Comnos. She worked as an assembler of circuit boards and later was a real estate agent in Florida. She was of the catholic faith.

Survivors: Son, Robert Fortunato and wife Barbara of Bonita Springs, FL; Daughter, Jeanne Shedlock of Coopersburg; Sister, Ethel Warren; Grandchildren, Steven Shedlock and companion Ginger Muse, Sandra Cary, Suzanne wife of Steve Butterweck; Denise Fortunato wife of Jeff Burnley, and David Fortunato and wife Laurie; Great Grandchildren, Jack, Julian, Sofia, Elizabeth, Lauren, Ava, and Fay. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, John Shedlock and a granddaughter, Jacqueline Shedlock and her companion Jerry Cox.

Services: Visitation Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus followed by funeral services at 4:00 PM. Interment Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Emmaus Moravian Cemetery.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
