Judith M. "Judy" Wieand, 96, of Emmaus, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, at Devon House. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard B. Wieand, with whom she shared many years of devoted marriage. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Judy was the daughter of the late Thomas C. and Hannah M. (Trate) Underwood. She later made Emmaus her home, where she became a familiar and cherished presence in the community. Judy was a caring and devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to her family. Her greatest joy came from nurturing her children and grandchildren, and she took great pride in her role as the heart of her family. She was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Emmaus and was actively involved in the community as a member of the Emmaus Junior Women's Club and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Barbara, wife of Randolph Schueck, and Janice, wife of Richard Rickert; her son-in-law, Dale Peters; her grandchildren, Jennifer, wife of Christopher Plominski, Christopher, Randy, Kyle and his wife, Casey, and Stephanie; and great-grandchildren, Noah, Mae, Harrison, Cora, Charlotte, and Ethan. She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Peters, brother, Thomas Underwood, and her sister, Patsy Romando.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Judy's memory to the Emmaus Lions Club, St. John's Lutheran Church, or the Emmaus Ambulance Corps.
