Josephine H. Deacon Josephine H. Deacon, 79, of Barto, passed away December 1. She was the wife of Romaine K. Deacon. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Sarah E. (Hertzog) Readinger. Josephine was a beloved wife, mother and friend. She was an active member of Huffs Union Church and volunteered in numerous activities serving the local community. She will be deeply missed. Survivors: Husband; Son, Dan Deacon of Hamden, CT and Scott Deacon and wife Betsy of Huntingtown, MD; Daughter, Kathy wife of David Schey of Ellicott City, MD; Grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, and Garrett. Services: Funeral Service Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at 1:00 PM in Huffs Union Church, 540 Conrad Rd., Alburtis. Friends may call Wed., Dec. 5, 2007 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM and 7:00 to 8:30 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Burial will be in Solomons Union Cemetery, Macungie.
