Obituary

Joseph A. Tremblay, 88, of Zionsville, died Dec. 2, 2024 in his residence.  He was the husband of the late Helen (Cooper) Tremblay.  Born in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Armand Ludger and Rose (Lamoth) Tremblay.  Joseph honorably served his country in the US Air Force for 23 years, retiring as a technical sergeant in 1977.  He served during the Korean conflict and Vietnam War.  Later, he was an electrician for Lamar Signs for 20 years, retiring in 1998.  He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed gardening and raised chickens and ducks while living in Florida.  He was also a big fan of Jeopardy and his favorite place was Alaska.

Joseph will be remembered by his sons, Paul Tremblay and Mark Tremblay; daughters, Christina Tremblay, Michelle Tremblay-White, and Theresa N. Jordan; stepchildren, Rita Quiggle, Lisa Savageau, Dwayne Buxton, and Paula VanHorn; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by sons, David Tremblay and Michael Tremblay and siblings, Andrew, Helen, and Pauline.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM in St. Ann's Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th Street, Emmaus.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.  Private interment with full military honors will be held in Sellars Cemetery, Caryville, FL Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
