Joseph E. Trella, Sr. Joseph E. Trella, Sr., 92, of Emmaus died September 23, 2009 in Allentown. He was the husband of the late Catherine C. (Dvorscak) Trella. Born in McAdoo, he was the son of the late Paul and Sophia (Marek) Trella. He was a cabinetmaker and carpenter for the former Ritter Furniture Company, Emmaus and Sears for over 40 years. This member of the Greatest Generation honorably served his country as a sergeant in the US Army stationed in the South Pacific during WWII. He was a member of St. Anns Catholic Church, Emmaus. Trella and wife Amy of Ephrata; Brothers, Stanley Trella and wife Ruth of McAdoo, Walter Trella and wife Elaine of Beaver Brook, George Trella and wife Lucille of Kelayres; Sisters, Mary Reich of Pittsburgh, Stephanie Kateeshock, of McAdoo, Sr. Helen Trella of Woodbridge, NJ; 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren Services: Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM in St. Anns Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th Street, Emmaus. Viewing 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main Street, Emmaus. Interment with military honors will follow in St Marys Church of the Assumption Cemetery, McAdoo.
