Joseph Kollesar Joseph Kollesar, of Allentown, passed away December 10, 2011. He was the loving husband of Veronica (Sposato) Kollesar. Born in Hazleton he was the son of Michael and Anna Kollesar of Hazelton. He graduated from Hazelton High School in 1944. He served his country honorably in the Navy during WWII. Mr. Kollesar achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer and retired from service in 1975. He was an assembly line worker at the firm Highway Trailer in Valmont, Hazleton. Upon retiring he worked at Luton Electronics in Coopersburg in the building maintenance department. He was a member of St. Anns Church Emmaus. He is survived his wife Veronica, daughter Carol wife of David Babbish of White Haven; son Joseph of Allentown; brother Nicholas and his wife Rose of Virginia; grandchildren Melissa wife of Frederick Loss and Brandon Babbish of Hazleton, one great-granddaughter Ashley Rose. He was pre-deceased by brothers Michael and Emil, sisters Betty and Dorothy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anns Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. Viewing Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus. Interment with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
