Joseph J. Forte , 79, of Macungie, died July 20, 2017 in Cedarbrook surrounded by his loving family.  He was the husband of Claire Marie (Albano) Forte. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Amerigo and Antoinette (Lenzo) Forte.  He worked for the City of New York Water Department for 30 years, retiring in 1992.  He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.  He was proud to become a pastor.  "Joe" was a kind, generous, and loving man.  He shined a bright light on this family that will be missed.

Survivors: Loving wife, Claire; Sons, John C. Forte and Michael J. Forte and wife Irene; Brothers, Alex Forte and Louis  Forte and wife Irene; Sister, Ann Marie wife of Robert Valk; 7 Grandchildren, Jason, Christian, Dominic, Erika, Ariella, Jennifer, and Alicia; 5 Great Grandchildren, Amanda, Madison, Joshua, Isabel, and Hope; Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.  He was predeceased by his loving Sister-in-Law, Joyce Forte.

Services: Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus.  Viewing Friday 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
